What software is needed for the integration and where can you get it?

ATG Dynamo

ATG Dynamo is an awesome application server written entirely in Java. But there's much more to ATG than just a killer app-server.
I'm using version ATG 5.6.1 for this article, though I can't think of anything that we are doing here that wouldn't work in any 5.x version.

OpenJMS

OpenJMS is an open source implementation of Sun Microsystems's Java Message Service (JMS) API 1.0.2 Specification .

I'm using version 0.7.2 of OpenJMS which was published on March 7, 2002
